We at Berean Bible Church are simply sinners saved by the sovereign grace of God (see Eph. 1:3-14). We were once not a people but are now the people of God (see 1 Peter 2:10).

Due to the great mercy that we have obtained in Jesus Christ it is our desire to glorify God through public worship and the preaching of His Word to all.

We endeavour to make our Lord’s Day service interesting and meaningful, however we make no effort to entertain.

The integral elements of each worship service are: the reading of God’s Word (1 Tim. 4:14), singing praises to God (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16), the offering of our prayers (1 Tim. 2:8), with the great part of each service normally given to expository preaching of God’s Word (2 Tim. 4:1-4).

We regard corporate prayer to be a vital part of our church family life, so every Lord’s Day we also meet together to pray.

We also gather every Friday evening as families for Christian fellowship and to study God’s Word.

Obviously our church life is characterized by simplicity, for which we do not apologize, but rather unashamedly declare that we seek to reflect the emphasis of Acts 2:42: “They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.”

The name of a church often describes something about that group. So what about the ‘Berean Bible Church’?

Berean – By God’s grace we wish to be like the original Bereans mentioned in the Bible, “they received the word with all readiness and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so,” Acts 17:11.

Bible – We seek to conform all of our teaching and practice to God’s inspired Word. This means we are not interested in the traditions of men or the current trends in the contemporary church.

Church – We do not desire to be a place of entertainment or a social club. We endeavour to be a true body of believers in submission to Jesus Christ, the Head of the Church.
