We invite you to join us for the 24th annual Queensland Reformed Baptist Family Conference (sponsored by Berean Bible Church). It promises to be a weekend of spiritual blessing, through the preaching of God’s Word and fellowship of God’s people.
The 2025 Family Conference is located at the beautiful Mapleton Centre, in the hinterland of Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Mapleton is situated just 110kms north of Brisbane. The Centre is surrounded by rainforest and equipped with comfortable accommodation for families and individuals. Facilities include: playground and open fields, swimming pools and water slides, canoes, bushwalking tracks and a nature display, tennis court and more.
Classes and activities for children will run during the morning sessions on Saturday and an area for those with little ones will be available as required. A variety of quality Christian books will be available for purchase so don’t forget to bring your wallet. Reserve your place at Mapleton by registering today and ensure you bring bedding (only mattresses supplied), personal items, warm clothes, insect repellent, Bible, notebook and a hungry heart.
Theme – In Troubles and in Joy: following Christ in all the changing scenes of life.
The Christian gospel, if it really is the truth of God, must ‘work’ in every situation in life – in trouble and in joy. The apostle Paul clearly believed this (Philippians 4:11-13). In this series we want to consider the true Christian, living with and for God in both extremes – when things are going well and when they are ‘doing it tough.’
Pastor Rob Harrod – Grace Baptist Church in Christchurch, New Zealand
Pastor Rob has been the pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Christchurch, New Zealand since 2008. Originally from Sydney, Rob studied for the gospel ministry at London Theological Seminary in the UK and was one of the pastors at Stanmore Baptist Church in Sydney for many years. Rob has been married to Alison for 43 years and they have four adult children and seven grandchildren.
